While the weather down here has been fairly dramatic, the reunion with dear friends was the complete opposite. The first day at LUMIX Festival turned out beautiful and calm, hanging out at this year's new addition, the Container Village. Here a bunch of schools, including the Danish School of Media and Journalism showcase their work alongside collectives, magazines and organisations. During the festival both Søren Pagter and Mads Greve will be present at the container together with a group of students to represent the school.
In the next days I'll spend my time at the exhibitions and showing my work to both familiar and new connections, trying to establish whether or not I have something to continue working on. It is always a very humble experience to show your work to others, especially a work in progress, that can still be pushed, touched and altered in so many directions. But it is also a unique chance to hear what kind of emotions the work bring out in your viewer.
After spending some hours catching up at the container village, we continued to an opening bbq hosted by MINT. Beers, great people and screenings of inspiring work was on the programme and it was a perfect way to start the festival.
